update
So life is going good right now. Staying busy, productive, and sastified.
General:
The clouds recently have been so pretty, I can’t get over it.
Work:
I’m not going to try and hide it, I really love Apple Motion 3, bundled with final cut studio 2. The interface is just amazing and super intuitive. The 3d capabilities are really good, it feels like I am working in google sketch up. I feel bad for kind of putting after effects on the back burner, but I realize that for speed and ease of use Motion 3 really takes the cake. After Effects isn’t completely gone out of my mind though, I will still use it for the nitty gritty stuff like focal planes and depth of field or if I want more advanced control over my compositing and animations or anything in general really.I’ve tailored my workflows accordingly.
I’m almost finished with Miss Lori’s DVD, it’s been a whirlwind production, I will be posting a case study when I finish.
RAW Footage, a band I am working with for their music video and stuff, just got some good press in the the red eye. Awesome stuff.
Later today and all day tomorrow I am filming Ashley Brooke Toussant’s music video for “Way Up In a Tree.” I hope the new style/techniques/shot ideas I have come out good. My focus is to really have the audience connect with her on a personal level and fall in love with her like Michael and I have. BTW she is NOT CUTE at ALL!!!! (j/k)
Life:
Crohn’s sucks, I keep going in and out of attacks. Prednisone is just keeping me from going over the edge. That’s a good thing but I hate going to bed and not knowing if I am going to wake up feeling good or crappy.
Florida was nice. I love seeing my family, not living with them lol. It was my brother’s birthday and we went to Adventure Island. I also got a lot of work done and my mom and I connected pretty good. I went to cracker barrell and went grocery shopping with my Granny, she’s amazing.
I still need to go shopping for winter. Club Monaco has probably called me 2342351 times and this last call got my interest, $50 off every $150 in purchases. Love it. Love it. I am going to stop in today when I am in Bucktown.
I BOUGHT A WACOM TABLET. It’s so nice. It works really well with motion 3 and adobe cs3. I wish Apple’s Inkwell program worked a little better but over all It’s been working out well. Live animation of sketching is so great, I have been playing around with it and I can’t wait to incorporate it into the promo I am going to do for The Victory Gins.
Alright, I need a shower.
Oh yeah, vimeo plus was released. I can’t decide to buy it or not. I know I will but it’s just a matter of when and how I am going to justify it in my head.
