the art of the deal

I have been living in this wonderful life of freelance freedom and it has been great.  Working when I want, because I want to.  Moreover I respect the deals and commitments I make to my clients.  I respect the notion that if I offer to do something it is a commitment and  am morally obligated to it.

Hopefully I will never find myself in a situation where I regret an offer because I lacked the ability to see it through to fruition while taking in all the variables and understanding for the most part the situation in its entirety.

One would think the universal idea of karma exists, but I don’t agree.  I do seem to be only one ever on the short end, and my patience is growing thin.  How do I continue to offer my congienality while maintaining my sanity?  I need to find a balance where I am still gracious while not feeling taken advantage of.
