I likened spaceflight to music, the astronauts to the band, so on and so forth.</p> <p>The photograph was borrowed from the NASA Project Gemini Missions, the human spaceflight program that accomplished the first American spacewalk and explored new techniques to master spaceflight.</p> <p>One of the major objectives was “To demonstrate endurance of humans and equipment to spaceflight” - <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Gemini#Program_objectives" target="_blank">Wikipedia</a></p> <p>I chose the photo because I imagined that’s what Gemini Club is doing: looking out the porthole at something they’ve just released. Maybe that object is the song?</p> <p>Additionally I wanted to include an homage to perfection so there are elements of a Fibonacci spiral, or ‘golden spiral’, which has a growth that matches the Golden Ratio. It felt good to disrupt it and make it all crazy.
